The Evidence-Based Practice Department embodies CJA’s mission to reduce unnecessary pretrial detention and endeavors to inform the field through the integration of practitioner expertise and best available research.
Through the development and implementation of evidence-based practices, our department works to ensure that client-focused interventions are aligned with the agency’s values of fairness, commitment, and innovation, as well as co-created with communities, funders, and stakeholders.
Moreover, our team collaborates with other departments within the agency, including Operations, Supervised Release, IT, and Research, to design innovative interventions and rigorously evaluate their impacts.
