
René Ropac joined CJA as a Research Analyst in May 2018. He handles the data on juvenile offenders who are prosecuted in the adult court as well as the Juvenile Justice Database (JJDB), a citywide database of juvenile delinquents who are prosecuted in family court. Prior to joining CJA, he held the position of Research Associate at The New York Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children, a non-profit that provides therapeutic and educational services to abused and neglected children and their families. René has a B.A. in Sociology from University of Vienna, Austria, and an M.A. and Ph.D. in Sociology from Temple University, Philadelphia.
