Danielle Rosario is CJA's General Counsel. In this role, Danielle guides legal strategy across governance, contract management, employment law, and compliance, drawing on more than a decade of senior leadership experience to support CJA's continued growth and its innovative, data-informed approach to pretrial justice. Danielle comes from Providence House, Inc., where she served as Chief Operating Officer, leading people operations, IT, building operations, and governance for a multi-site nonprofit with nearly 100 employees.

Danielle’s legal career began in direct service and advocacy, including as a Staff Attorney with Queens Defenders and The Legal Aid Society and as Policy Counsel at The Fortune Society, where she developed litigation strategies and helped shape public policy, including advocacy that contributed to reducing the maximum sentence for a Class A misdemeanor to 364 days. As a defense attorney in the Queens Criminal and Supreme Courts, she worked alongside CJA staff conducting pre-arraignment interviews, gaining a first-hand view of how that work shapes release decisions in arraignment.
