    Individuals who are arrested and held for arraignment in New York City are interviewed by a CJA employee. The information from that interview is transcribed onto an interview form, like the sample here.

    Release Assessment Bench Card

    At arraignment, judges are provided with the CJA interview form and have access to the Release Assessment Bench Card. This Bench Card includes technical details about the 8 scored factors, an explanation of CJA's release recommendations, and a breakdown of each section on the interview form.
